Welcome Cindy!

We recently welcomed Cindy Crook to our staff as the lead presenter in our Healthy Relationships Education Project. Cindy will be responsible for consulting with secondary school faculty and administrators in the mid-Willamette Valley and providing classroom presentations on healthy relationship skills. She and Sara Wright, who has led the program for the past three years, will work in tandem over the next 3 months as Cindy transitions into leading the project. 

As an example of what the project is accomplishing, in mid-March  healthy relationships presentations were made in two Philomath High School classes to a total of 70 students.  When asked in their evaluation forms what they plan to do about what they heard, 60% stated that they intend to pursue premarital counseling when it becomes time for them to marry.  Some of the comments from the students:

"I will definitely get premarital counseling. I was going to anyways, but after this - my goodness!"                                                                         "I will wait and make sure whoever I marrie [sic] is the right one for me personally."                                                                                         "Your presentation was great!! You were totally confident - keep up the amazing work!"
