When your child or teenager is struggling... Children and teens may have difficulty saying with words what they feel. But they express themselves in how they behave. Sometimes they act tired or sad. Other times they have headaches and stomach pain for no apparent cause. They may react in anger, fight with others. or show other destructive signs. Play therapy can help a child or teen learn to express their emotions constructively and can lead to ways to cope better with difficulties in their lives. Children who struggle with trauma, death of a loved one, abuse, divorce, or the challenges of growing up in today's world can benefit from time spent with a trained play therapist.
