Counseling FAQQ: How do I schedule an appointment?
A: To schedule an appointment with any of our counselors, call our
office at (541) 757-1761 (Corvallis) or (541) 917-8957 (Albany) and someone will
assist you in making your first appointment. All calls are confidential.
Q: What do I need to bring to the first appointment?
A: Counselees will need to bring their completed Client Intake Form and
come prepared to pay for their session.
Q: How much does counseling at Friends of the Family cost?
A: Our fees are on a sliding scale and range from $35 to $80 depending
on gross monthly income and number of dependents the counselee has. This fee
is decided upon with their counselor during the first session. To view our

Q: Does Friends of the Family accept insurance?
A: Because our counselors are not state-licensed, our services are not
covered by insurance.
Q: What happens in the first appointment?
A: In the first appointment, the counselor will sit down with clients
and discuss the reason they are seeking counseling, what their goals are and
how we can help to accomplish those goals.
Q: Am I welcome as a client, even if I’m not a person of faith?
A: Absolutely. At Friends of the Family we welcome all people regardless
of their spiritual status or religion. We are a non-denominational
organization that serves all people from different walks of life.
